Lushe - A High-Luxury Shopify CRO Theme, Built to Convert

Lushe is a bespoke Shopify theme for a premium beauty brand, designed to look and feel like a luxury French cosmetics label while being fully engineered around conversion. The visuals had to carry the weight of the brand, but every layout decision, from hero copy to trust badges, was made with one question in mind: does this move a shopper closer to buying.

How it was built:

• Claude Design for visual direction. Used to explore layout, typography, and imagery treatment that matched the luxury positioning: soft color palettes, editorial-style photography, and restrained, elegant type.
• Claude Skills for structured development. Leveraged to keep the build consistent and production-ready across sections, blocks, and Liquid templates rather than one-off, inconsistent code.
• Hand-written Liquid and JavaScript. Every section and interactive element was custom coded by hand, no page builder shortcuts, so the theme stays fast, fully editable in the Theme Editor, and free of bloat.
• Custom HTML and CSS. Built for pixel-precise control over spacing, typography, and the kind of visual polish luxury brands can't compromise on.
• Shopify Storefront MCP. Used to connect design and development directly to live storefront data, keeping the build grounded in real product and content structure rather than static mockups.

Conversion-focused details baked into the design:

• A hero section that leads with an emotional value proposition, not just a product shot.
• Trust signals (free shipping threshold, Klarna, cruelty-free/vegan formulas, a generous 60-day return window) placed immediately below the fold, where hesitant shoppers look for reassurance.
• Clean, minimal navigation that keeps the shopping path short and unambiguous.
