A Laravel-based middleware service that bridges HubSpot's CRM and Housecall Pro's field-service platform, keeping customer records consistent across both systems without manual re-entry.
The problem: Businesses running HubSpot for marketing/CRM and Housecall Pro for field-service operations end up with two disconnected sources of truth for the same customers. A new lead in HubSpot doesn't exist in Housecall Pro, and a new job/customer created in Housecall Pro never makes it back into the CRM.
What I built: A middleware layer, built with Laravel, sitting between both platforms' REST APIs, offering:
- Fetch endpoints to pull existing contacts from HubSpot and existing customers from Housecall Pro
- Create endpoints to push new contacts/customers into either platform
- A dedicated sync endpoint that takes a customer's data and pushes it to both systems in one call, returning the existing records from each platform for confirmation
- Structured error handling (400 for missing data, 500 for failed upstream syncs) so failures are visible and actionable rather than silent
- Full API documentation, generated and browsable, plus a Postman collection for easy testing and onboarding
Stack: PHP, Laravel, HubSpot API, Housecall Pro API, Postman for endpoint documentation and testing.
Result: A single, reliable integration point that keeps CRM and field-service customer data in sync in both directions, removing the manual duplication that typically creeps in when two platforms don't talk to each other natively.
The full stack,
explained.
A Laravel middleware system that bidirectionally syncs customer records between HubSpot (CRM) and Housecall Pro (field-service management). Webhooks on both platforms trigger updates in the other system in real time, so a change made in HubSpot or Housecall Pro is automatically reflected on the other side. This eliminates manual re-entry and keeps CRM and field-service data consistent across both tools.
